Niche Interest Betrayal

Text on the meme

i really like this niche interest i have. itd be really nice if other people liked it too ? hey!!! i like that thing too!!!! oh my god!!!!!!!! REALLY?! WHO ARE YOU?! YOU SEEM AWES- hey man whats up WORLD'S WORST HUMAN BEING

What it means

A four-panel comic shows someone happily sharing a niche interest, then becoming shocked and hostile when another person says they like it too. The punchline is the absurd gatekeeping reaction: the person wanted others to appreciate the interest, but immediately rejects the first person who does.
