Marine Sergeant Feeding Kitten
US Marine Sgt, Frank Praytor, feeding his adopted kitten, Miss Hap, some canned milk during the Korean War. Praytor received marriage proposals from women all over the US after this photo appeared in 1,700 newspapers.
A US Marine sergeant carefully feeds his adopted kitten, Miss Hap, from a can during the Korean War. The joke is the unexpectedly tender contrast between a tough soldier and a tiny kitten, while the caption humorously highlights how the photograph made him irresistibly popular with women across the United States.
