Kojima Writing This Scene
Kojima writing this scene
A dramatic video-game cutscene shows a stern scarred man confronting a long-haired military officer while a doctor stands nearby. The lower panel shows a caricatured writer furiously composing the scene by candlelight, captioned “Kojima writing this scene.” The joke mocks Hideo Kojima’s famously bizarre, melodramatic storytelling; Duran Duran’s synth-pop song “Invisible” adds an ironically stylish, theatrical mood to the escalating awkwardness.
