Carbonara Gets a Creamy Finish
Carbonara
A pan of wheel-shaped pasta and bacon is cooked on the stovetop while a thick white stream of cream is poured over it, forming a silly coil on top. The joke is the exaggeratedly casual “carbonara” preparation, made funnier by Dean Martin’s romantic Italian-themed song “That’s Amore” playing over the cooking clip. It works as a reaction to improvised cooking, questionable recipes, or dramatically presenting a simple meal.
