What it means

The meme shows Discord’s blue mascot holding a phone beneath a mock layoff memo beginning with “Hi @everyone,”. The joke is that employees would receive a devastating layoff announcement through a casual Discord @everyone notification, making the situation feel absurdly impersonal. It is used as a reaction to awkward corporate announcements and mass layoffs.
