Yes Babe Take Your Meds

Text on the meme

yes babe you're so serial experiments lain, monster, neon genesis evangelion, steins gate, perfect blue, now please go take your meds

What it means

An anime-style character is shown behind a large caption listing several psychologically intense anime and then telling the viewer to take their medication. The joke mocks someone who enthusiastically identifies with dark, cerebral anime while implying that their obsession is a sign they need psychiatric help; it is used as a sarcastic reaction to an overly edgy or pretentious media take.
