When you break into the house of an elderly woman with dementia only to find that her family has already robbed her of everything she owns
A masked burglar peers through the eye holes of a knitted mask in a dimly lit room. The joke is that the burglar arrives to rob an elderly woman, only to discover that her family has already taken everything, making the break-in completely pointless. It is used as an absurd reaction to situations where someone tries to take advantage of a person or situation but finds there is nothing left to gain.
