AFTER WATCHING EDGERUNNERS BOYS GIRLS

What it means

After watching Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, the “boys” side shows a person dramatically crying and eventually fading to black, while the “girls” side presents glamorous anime-style female characters from the series in a colorful collage. The joke contrasts the emotional devastation typically associated with the show’s ending with an exaggerated fixation on its attractive female characters. Rosa Walton & Hallie Coggins’ melancholic synth-pop song “I Really Want to Stay At Your House” reinforces the tragic, bittersweet mood and makes the reaction feel even more emotionally overwhelmed.
