Elf Wife Outlives Human Husband
>live a long, happy life with your elven wife >she was 200 when you met her >she's 260 now >looks the same as the day you met >be human >die >elf wife suffers and mourns you for hundreds of years alone That's fucking why.
An elven woman is shown beside a text joke about her human husband dying of old age while she remains young and lives for centuries. The punchline explains why an elf would not want a long-lived marriage with a human: she would eventually suffer and mourn him alone for hundreds of years. It is used as a darkly humorous reaction to discussions about immortal or long-lived fantasy characters dating humans.
