The Bank Doesn’t Have Your Money
I went to withdraw $28,000 in cash from the Wells Fargo in San Francisco. The teller actually started to cry and went to get his supervisor, who asked him "Do we have enough?" A sad Pepe the Frog image accompanies a story about a customer withdrawing $28,000 from Wells Fargo in San Francisco. The teller cries because the bank struggles to gather enough cash, leading to the punchline that banks do not really have your money. It is sent as an anxious or cynical reaction about banking, cash shortages, and financial distrust.
