Anime Girl Asking for Mercy

Text on the meme

LORD JESUS CHRIST SON OF THE LIVING GOD HAVE MERCY ON ME A SINNER

What it means

A hand holds a small printed card featuring an anime-style girl beside a solemn Christian prayer asking Jesus Christ for mercy. The humorous effect comes from the dramatic religious wording being paired with a cute, somewhat out-of-place anime illustration, making it useful as an ironic reaction to guilt, shame, or an embarrassing situation.
