German Scientists on the Moon
Random German after WW2: Where did all our scientists disappear to? The German scientists:
A black-and-white moon-landing parody shows astronauts in spacesuits performing and singing on the lunar surface. The caption jokes about Operation Paperclip: after World War II, German scientists supposedly “disappeared” by being recruited to the United States space program. The clip uses Rammstein’s “Amerika,” whose bombastic industrial-metal sound and patriotic American imagery make the historical punchline more absurd and satirical.
