Barbie Oppenheimer Crossover Begins
The Barbie/Oppenheimer crossover has begun
A photo taken from inside a car shows a pink mushroom cloud rising over a suburban Japanese road. The joke imagines the pink explosion as the crossover of Barbie’s bright pink aesthetic and Oppenheimer’s nuclear-bomb imagery, referencing the simultaneous release and cultural pairing of the Barbie and Oppenheimer films. It is used as an absurd reaction to the Barbenheimer phenomenon. EN: A photo taken from inside a car shows a pink mushroom cloud rising over a suburban Japanese road.
