Stop Doing Animation

STOP DOING ANIMATION! - DRAWINGS ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO MOVE - YEARS OF OVERTIME and CRUNCH yet NO PAY RAISE and NO FUTURE CAREER PROSPECTS - Want to see pictures move anyway just for a laugh? We already have something for that it is called "MOVIES" - "Yes please, give me 24 FRAMES of mona lisa. Please SQUASH AND STRETCH it for me" - statements dreamed up by the utterly Deranged LOOK at what Animators have been demanding your Respect for all this time. (This is REAL animation, done by REAL animators) ?????? ????????? ?????????????? "Hello I would like to watch [Mona Lisa image] please" They have played us for absolute fools

The meme sarcastically complains that drawings should not move, while showing real animation work such as frame charts, timelines, and node graphs. It mocks people who dismiss animation as easy despite demanding complex motion, squash and stretch, and many frames; the punchline is that viewers have supposedly been fooled into watching animation instead of a static picture. It is used as a reaction to misunderstandings about animation labor and technique.
