Cancel Plans Just in Case You'd Call

Text on the meme

WANTING WAS ENOUGH FOR ME IT WAS ENOUGH TO LIVE FOR THE HOPE OF IT ALL CANCEL PLANS JUST IN CASE YOU’D CALL

What it means

A person lies face-down across a bed in apparent emotional exhaustion. The overlaid lyrics from Taylor Swift’s “august” humorously express desperately waiting for someone to call and cancelling plans just in case they do. It is used as a relatable reaction to romantic longing, disappointment, or being emotionally overwhelmed.
