Following Request Before Approval

Text on the meme

how it feels to send someone following request first Requested This account is private Follow this account to see their photos and videos.

What it means

A weary anthropomorphic ant carries a blue bundle on a stick while an Instagram-style private-account notice says the follow request was sent. The joke captures the awkward feeling of following someone first and waiting for them to approve the request, especially when you do not know whether they will accept it.
