Horse Mocks the Combustion Carriage

Text on the meme

Hahaha! Horses are forever! You’re just a passing fad, combustion-carriage! He’s right! Damn! I am doomed. Horses are the true way to travel

What it means

A vintage black-and-white cartoon shows a horse standing safely on a bridge while an overturned early automobile sinks in the water below. The horse mocks the car as a passing fad, and the stranded driver admits that horses are the true way to travel. The joke humorously imagines early motorcars being rejected by horses as an inferior, doomed technology.
