My opponent started packing the chessboard into a more efficient space, how should I open?
A distorted chessboard is shown with the pieces still arranged in a recognizable starting position, but the board has been warped and compressed into an irregular shape. The joke treats the opponent’s bizarre spatial rearrangement as a chess-opening problem, parodying chess notation and opening strategy. It is used as an absurd reaction to something being reorganized in an impossibly inefficient or confusing way.
