Japanese Developers Be Like

Japanese developers be like

A four-panel collage shows stylish Japanese video game protagonists, including Link, Dante, and other eccentric heroes with dramatic poses, weapons, and powers. The joke is that Japanese developers often create characters who are absurdly cool, flamboyant, and overdesigned, contrasting with the more ordinary-looking character in the bottom-right panel. It is used as a reaction to exaggerated anime-inspired game design.
