Is It Okay to Pet the Officer?

Text on the meme

Is it okay to pet? 😂

What it means

A man in a colorful shirt approaches a mounted police officer at night and repeatedly reaches out as if asking permission to pet him. The joke comes from treating the uniformed officer like an animal, while the officer appears amused by the absurd request. It works as a reaction to playfully asking for permission to do something inappropriate or unusual.

Speech

Excuse me, is that okay to pet? No. No.
