Japan Would Never Do That

Text on the meme

I just learned about what Japan did in WW2 in class.. I've been shaking and crying ever since.. This isn't the sugoi Japan I know.. This can't.. This can't be real!! JAPAN WOULD NEVER DO THAT!!!!! I KNOW FROM ANIME THAT JAPAN WOULD NEVER DO THIS.. Nandemo NANDEMO NANDEMO

What it means

A parody tweet shows an anime fan horrified after learning about Japan’s actions in World War II, insisting that the Japan portrayed in anime would never do such things. The joke mocks naïve idealization of Japan through anime and contrasts it with a disturbing historical image of a uniformed soldier threatening a bound person.
