When They Wave Behind You

When they’re waving to someone behind you

What it means

Two men walk along an outdoor terrace when the man in black realizes someone is waving to the person behind him. He reacts with exaggerated panic and climbs over the balustrade, while the man in red follows, turning an awkward social misunderstanding into an absurd escape. Beyoncé’s emotional pop/R&B ballad “Halo” makes the overdramatic reaction even funnier, as if the situation were a profound dramatic revelation.
