Monkey Juice Reward Experiment
Recording electrode Juice reward mechanism “We’re back” Minor success or failure “It’s over” Restraint chair
A monkey sits restrained at a table with a recording electrode and a juice reward mechanism while pressing colored buttons. The joke presents repeated minor successes and failures as an absurdly dramatic cycle of “we’re back” and “it’s over,” used as a reaction to unstable progress or rapidly changing situations.
