We're Girlfriend and Boyfriend

Text on the meme

'Cause we're girlfriend and boyfriend.

What it means

Ken, played by Ryan Gosling, speaks to Barbie in a brightly lit setting and awkwardly explains their relationship as “girlfriend and boyfriend.” The joke is the overly simplistic, mildly awkward phrasing, making it useful as a reaction to justify an obvious romantic connection or claim closeness.
