Da West Side Has Fallen
“the west has fallen..” “the middle kingdom has fallen..” “da west side has fallen..”
A three-panel reaction meme shows three serious-looking men beside dramatic images of fallen or burning civilizations. The first two captions use grand historical language, while the final caption changes it to “da west side,” turning the solemn prophecy into a parody of a neighborhood or hip-hop-style announcement. It is used as an absurd reaction to exaggerated claims of collapse or defeat.
