He Tried to Make Me Pay Taxes
Why in the world did you attack President Kimball? It was an accident. He tried to make me pay taxes. Understandable.
A video game dialogue scene shows a stern man questioning why President Kimball was attacked. The answer is that Kimball tried to make the attacker pay taxes, followed by “Understandable,” making the joke a deadpan reaction to extreme anti-tax sentiment. It is used when someone gives an absurd but relatable justification for their actions.
