Complimenting the Old Drawing

This improvement oooh you've come so far! The dynamic pose with the vibrant colours and lineless touches is much prettier, the clothes flow nicely (that bow detail is lovely) and the more carefully constructed hands are very noticeable, a definite improvement from the squiggly ones on the right 💕 ...that's the old drawing

A Twitter-style exchange shows an artist presenting two drawings of a stylized winged character. Someone enthusiastically praises the supposed improvement, admiring the pose, colours, clothing, bow, and hands, before the artist reveals that the praised image is actually the old drawing. The joke is a reversal of expectations about artistic improvement, making the compliment accidentally criticize the newer work.
