Mario Bros vs Elden Ring
Mario Bros (1983) Elden Ring (2022)
A split-screen comparison shows Mario Bros. with a floating brick platform and mushroom above a mountain landscape, contrasted with a dark Elden Ring gameplay scene featuring a player character fighting a giant spider-like enemy. The joke exaggerates how video game graphics and difficulty evolved from the simple platforming world of Mario to the bleak, punishing combat of Elden Ring.
