TikTok Fame Backfires

Me trying to explain to my friend that if we filmed a tiktok a day, we could potentially hit the algorithm, go famous drop out of university, move to L.A., enjoy the life of being a famous tiktok star (the YouTube of the 20’s) until one day eventually racist and homophobic statements of us surface online and we have to go off-grid and enjoy our millions of dollars.

A person is shown sitting indoors while a long TikTok caption describes a plan to become famous by posting daily videos, moving to Los Angeles, and becoming wealthy before past offensive statements surface and force them to disappear. The joke satirizes influencer ambitions and the familiar scandal cycle in which online fame collapses after racist or homophobic remarks are uncovered; the punchline is that going off-grid still comes with millions of dollars.
