Silent Hill protagonists kill people

Text on the meme

Heather, thinking she may have been killing real people. [Visible horror] James, having killed a real person. I... I killed a... a human being.... Harry, killing dozens of real people. Haha, emergency hammer go smash.

What it means

A three-panel Silent Hill meme contrasts Heather’s horrified reaction to realizing she may have killed real people with James’s guilt after killing one person and Harry casually smashing enemies with an emergency hammer. The joke is that the series’ protagonists have wildly different levels of concern about killing monsters that may be real people. It is used as a reaction to hypocrisy, uneven moral standards, or someone treating a serious realization much less seriously than another person.
