Grandfather Was a Dog

Text on the meme

“Honey I found a picture of your grandfather”

What it means

A woman points out an old family photograph of her partner’s grandfather, but the collage shows a man holding and posing beside a large fluffy dog. The joke is that the dog’s repeated presence makes it look as though the dog, rather than the man in the portrait, is the grandfather. Used to teasingly point out a confusing or hilariously misleading family photo.
