Algorithm Fear Cage Tweet
I'm afraid to Google something because I don't want the algorithm to think I like it. I'm afraid to skip a song because I don't want the algorithm to block all songs like it. I'm afraid to click a link because I don't want the algorithm to show me more like it. What a cage.
A screenshot of a tweet jokes about being afraid to interact with online content because recommendation algorithms may permanently shape what appears in the feed. The punchline is that ordinary actions like searching, skipping, or clicking feel like choices inside an algorithmic cage.
