Moving the Rock Is Out of Scope
Client: Why did you do that?! Project Manager: Moving the rock is not in our scope of work.
A large rock sits beneath a newly installed-looking pipe, forcing the pipe to bend around it. The joke is that the project manager treats an obvious construction mistake as acceptable because moving the rock was not included in the project scope, making it useful as a reaction to bureaucratic incompetence or rigid workplace rules.
