Friends Across the Planet

Text on the meme

we could hang out everyday but no you live on the other side of the fucking planet

What it means

A fast-paced anime montage shows pairs and groups of characters enjoying each other’s company while the same caption laments that they live on opposite sides of the planet. The joke is relatable long-distance friendship and the exaggerated sadness of being unable to hang out, amplified by the melancholic slowed track “Falling Tears” by KPHK.
