Evangelion overrated, Azumanga amazing

Text on the meme

Neon Genesis Evangelion 1995 ½ whatever. Overrated as hell NEON GENESIS EVANGELION Azumanga Daioh 2002 HOOOLY SHIT AZUMANGA DAIOH

What it means

A rating-style comparison shows Neon Genesis Evangelion receiving half a star and being called “whatever. Overrated as hell,” while Azumanga Daioh receives five stars and an enthusiastic “HOOOLY SHIT.” The joke contrasts a supposedly overrated famous anime with a less mainstream series presented as vastly more exciting, making it useful as an exaggerated anime opinion reaction.
