Ortho Rei or Asuka
Middle aged married guy from my church just texted me this out of nowhere Ortho Rei or Asuka?
A Twitter screenshot shows a message from a middle-aged married churchgoer asking whether the sender prefers “Ortho Rei or Asuka?” alongside images of Rei Ayanami and Asuka Langley from Neon Genesis Evangelion. The joke is the unexpectedly intimate and anime-specific question coming from someone stereotypically unlikely to send it, making it a reaction to bizarre out-of-nowhere messages.
