Josef Menšík Stops German Tanks
Photo of Josef Menšík, the man who tried to stop a convoy of German tanks while wearing a suit of armour and seated on a horse, Czechoslovakia, 1938
A historical black-and-white and color collage shows Josef Menšík dressed in armor, posing with a sword and riding a horse. The joke presents his absurdly heroic attempt to stop a convoy of German tanks in Czechoslovakia in 1938, fitting the exaggerated “playing Civilization be like” caption.
