EN: A man in a black shirt seriously discusses how overcomplicated the progressive pride flag has become, showing images of Gilbert Baker, the white-light spectrum, and a plain white flag before proposing that the rainbow flag be replaced with a white one. The joke relies on deliberately absurd logic and the double meaning of “white pride flag.”

We need to have a serious conversation about this flag. With all due respect to its creator, there's just too much going on here. Gilbert Baker's original vision of using the rainbow symbol was to represent the infinite colors and infinite diversity of the LGBTQ community. The more we add specific stripes to represent specific groups, the more we take away from the symbolism of the idea of a rainbow that covers all the spectrum. Instead of changing the flag year after year, to me there's only one logical solution. We all know that white light contains all the colors in the visible spectrum. Thus, the new pride flag should be a plain white flag. This is the best way to represent all the colors in the rainbow in perpetuity. I call it the white pride flag. Join me in celebrating the diversity of our community this year, 2022 with the new white pride flag.
