Zero Shadow Day in Manila
ZERO SHADOW DAY IN METRO MANILA On this day, the Sun does not cast a shadow of an object at noon when it will be exactly at 'Your Zenith'. Zenith is an imaginary point directly overhead from a particular point on the ground. It lies on an imaginary celestial sphere. It is also expressed as an exact opposite directional point opposite to the apparent gravitational force at that location. In simple words, it is a "highest" point overhead on the celestial sphere. 📷 John Anthony Braza 📌 Pinagsama, Taguig City | 11:53 AM
A concrete surface in Metro Manila displays several bottles, a lid, and a white box arranged under the midday sun, with almost no visible shadows. The post explains the zero shadow day phenomenon, when the Sun is directly overhead at noon; the humorous effect comes from the exaggerated demonstration and the objects appearing nearly shadowless.
