When Dinner Turns Dramatic

Text on the meme

When the girl I brought home asks what we're having for dinner

What it means

A young man in a dark coat stands on a gloomy beach, dramatically gesturing and singing after the girl he brought home asks what they are having for dinner. The absurdly grand, emotional reaction turns an ordinary dinner question into a melodramatic crisis, while Coldplay’s “Yellow” adds wistful, cinematic intensity and makes the joke feel intentionally over-the-top.
