One Less Loose End

Shepherd: Do you have the DSM? Ghost: We got it, sir! Shepherd: Good. That's one less loose end.

A first-person soldier stands beneath a helicopter while General Shepherd approaches and asks whether the DSM has been secured. Moments later, Shepherd betrays the soldier and shoots him, turning his earlier line about “one less loose end” into a literal, darkly comic punchline. The dramatic action music heightens the sudden betrayal and makes the clip work as a reaction to being betrayed or discarded.
