Children Are Sexual Beings

“Disney is sexualizing children”? Let’s be clear: children are sexual beings. From the start, children are sexual. It’s not anything Disney has to tell them. Unless some adult has lied or misguided them. What children deserve is help understanding their sexual thoughts and feelings. That is what shows like The Proud Family do. They help them understand what is already there. It seems odd to me that some people teach their children about spirituality which is not as tangible. Is spirit there from the start? Perhaps. But it doesn’t express itself until others teach children how to express spirituality. Children don’t naturally pray. Maybe we should be more horrified that something as unnatural as religion is taught to children.
