Meeting a Normal Gay Person

Pov: I meet a homosexual who doesn’t make it their whole personality

A suited man at a desk laughs and gives a thumbs-up before the clip cuts to an intense close-up of his increasingly pleased expression. The caption jokes about the exaggerated relief of meeting a homosexual person who does not make their sexuality their entire personality. The scene is paired with M83’s upbeat, nostalgic synth-pop song “Midnight City,” whose dramatic energy heightens the absurd reaction.
