Marty Stops Slavery

Text on the meme

1619 Marty. To stop the ships from bringing Africans here. Ahhh, to prevent slavery. To prevent slavery right?

What it means

A three-panel Back to the Future scene shows Doc Brown explaining that Marty traveled to 1619 to stop ships from bringing Africans to America. Marty realizes this means preventing slavery, while Doc looks intensely serious from the DeLorean. The joke uses the time-travel setup to frame an absurdly direct mission to change history and stop the transatlantic slave trade.
