Another Abomination Unto the Lord

Text on the meme

aww, sweet! another abomination unto the LORD

What it means

Rei Ayanami initially looks displeased, then smiles after seeing a romantic image of Rei and Asuka kissing. The joke treats the fan art as a blasphemous “abomination” while Rei’s reaction becomes unexpectedly approving, making it useful as an ironic reaction to cursed or excessive shipping content.
