You’re Approaching Me? Oscars Slap

Oh? You’re approaching me? Instead of running away, you’re coming right to me?

Chris Rock stands on the Oscars stage and notices Will Smith approaching him, repeating the famous JoJo-style “approaching me” setup before Smith slaps him. The joke uses the dramatic anime/meme phrasing to frame the unexpected live-television confrontation as an absurd action scene, making it a reaction to someone fearlessly approaching a conflict. The clip includes speech and tense dramatic music that builds the punchline before the slap.
