A Newsweek headline claiming trans people will become “human and part machine” cuts to a “Beware of the Pipeline” chart: progressively more gender-nonconforming people turn into grim Adeptus Mechanicus cyborgs from Warhammer 40,000. Guillaume David’s dark electronic/orchestral track “Children of the Omnissiah” turns the joke into a dramatic machine-cult transformation, mocking the alarmist claim. Used as a reaction to exaggerated fears about trans people, gender expression, or a supposed slippery slope.
