Artistic Talent on the Pond

While we love and appreciate the artistic talent we have on campus, please keep off the pond. The pond below the ice is a moving body of water, which makes the ice very volatile no matter the thickness and temperature. Please be safe this winter!

A snowy frozen pond on a university campus has been decorated with a large drawing etched into the ice. The university humorously warns students to stay off the pond because moving water beneath the ice makes it unsafe, while jokingly acknowledging the artwork. It is shared as a funny winter safety announcement and reaction to elaborate snow or ice drawings.
