Wasted Teenage Years
Me lying in the hospital bed with stage 4 leukemia at age 17 as I realise I wasted all my teenage years focusing on school to ensure a good education so I can get a good future for me and my future kids. Only for it all to be wasted away and I could as well just have had fun and spent more time with my friends and family, but instead spent so much time stressing and worrying about something that didnt even matter in the end. This is it
A gloomy, shadowy person stares upward while imagining lying in a hospital bed at age 17 with stage 4 leukemia and regretting spending their teenage years focused on school instead of friends and family. The joke is a dark, exaggerated reflection on wasted time and the fear that hard work may not matter in the end, so it is used as a morbid reaction to regret, burnout, or existential despair.
