Kojima Calls Him Otaku

About a year after Metal Gear Solid came out, I met with Kojima and discussed the idea of making a Metal Gear anime. I talked about how much I loved the games and what the anime might be like. He paused, looked at his producer, pointed at me and said "Otaku." and laughed. OTAKU

A fake tweet describes meeting Hideo Kojima and enthusiastically discussing a Metal Gear anime, only to be labeled an “otaku.” Below it, a muscular GigaChad points forward with the word “OTAKU,” turning the insult into a proud, exaggerated identity. It is used as a reaction to proudly embracing anime or intense fandom.
